This race is limited to 300 registrations. Secure your spot in the race by preregistering. There will be no “day of race” registrations.

This thrilling timed event is all about having a blast on your sled. It’s a straight 900’ run up the mountain, & every rider gets 2 runs. Your official time is the total of both runs. Studded tires on dirt bikes? No problem! Race to be timed by All Sports Events.
There will be a break period between the 1st & 2nd runs. The race will be run by classes. Only 1 run per registration may be taken before intermission. Second run must be taken after intermission. Minimum age for participation is 12 years old.
Riding is not allowed on the nordic trails whatsoever. Thanks for understanding.

Born in Western New York, Hannah Porter Denecke has also lived in Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Florida, New Jersey, and Indiana. These liminal experiences of moving all over the country have informed her eclectic songwriting approach as the lead singer/songwriter of her indie folk duo, The Deneckes. In January 2025, The Deneckes released blue & gold, an album comprised of songs Hannah wrote while artist-in-residence at St. Gertrude’s Monastery in Cottonwood, Idaho. In April 2023, The Deneckes released their debut album, lady of the gardens. In addition to being a folk musician, Hannah is also a musicologist, church musician, and classically trained singer. All aspects of Hannah’s background come together in her solo performances and appearances with The Deneckes, as she weaves together history and storytelling in an intimate musical environment. Black Mountain’s Board of Directors presents our annual golf tournament at Oakdale Country Club.

This 18 hole, 4 ball scramble will get underway on June 15th at Oakdale Country Club (13 Country Club Road, Mexico, Maine) with an 8:00am registration & a 9:00am start.

Lunch will be at 2:00pm & is included with your registration fee. Teams will be competing for awards & prizes.
